Her father, Joseph Bondi, was a city council member, and later Mayor of Temple Terrace. She is a C. Leon King High School graduate in Tampa. Bondi completed her studies at the University of Florida in 1987 with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She graduated with a JD in 1990 from Stetson Law School. She was then admitted to the Florida Bar on 26 June 1991.
