Cecily strong

  Cecily Legler Strong was born on the 8th of February 1984. She is an American actor and comedian. Strong is best known because she was a part-time cast member of the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 2012 to 2022. She's the longest-running female on the show's past. Strong was an CalArts graduate who studied improv in The Second City in Chicago. She is currently the host of the Apple TV+ musical comedy program Schmigadoon! (2021-present) in which she is also co-producing.



 



 Other roles she's been in including voice acting in The Awesomes (2013-2015), and in supporting roles in films such as Ghostbusters, The Meddler and The Female Brain. She was host of the White House Correspondents' Dinner in 2015. Her first book, the memoir This Will All Be Over Soon, was published in 2021.



 



 She was nominated at the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy Series and Saturday Night Live.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Strong was born and was raised in Springfield, Illinois. She is the daughter Penelope and William Strong. Strong was the director of the Associated Press bureau and also had his own company for PR up to 2013. Penny Legler Strong, a nurse practitioner who has worked extensively in area hospitals, is now retired. Strong is the daughter of divorced parents. Strong was a child who adored SNL as a child, reenacting sketches with her pal and watching the old SNL commercials on VHS. "I owned a tape of the best commercials . I wore it out every day." She claimed Phil Hartman had inspired her.
